Who we are?

Max Trans is locally owned and operated trucking company servicing our customers since 2003. We have a strong belief that to be successful we need safe, happy, healthy drivers. To accomplish this, we have strong, experienced managers and support teams in place.

The History

The owner of Max Trans, Greg Kelley, and several members of the management team have been together prior to 1990. From 1990-2003 Greg owned and handled all operations for his former trucking company. In October 2019 Greg became the sole owner of Max Trans. During the past 30 years, we have had many other adventures from the waste industry to a temporary staffing agency that kept us busy during the slow 2008 economy.

The History

In 2016 we took over a Chattanooga trucking company that was overly in-debt to our factoring company, Max Capital. From 2016 to October 2018 we turned this company around, grew it from 49 trucks to 165. When F2F Transport sold it, it had an annual revenue of $25,000,000. In conjunction with this, our brokerage company, Max Trans Logistics, with its annual revenue $20,000,000, had expanded to Chattanooga, TN. Max Trans Logistics of Chattanooga's annual revenue at the time of sale was $30,000,000. Although we had to add to the support team, we were able to utilize the strengths and experiences of our accounting and safety leadership to successfully abourb and withstand the workload that comes with $100,000,000 annual revenue.

In 2016, we acquired a Chattanooga-based trucking company that was significantly indebted to our factoring company, Max Capital. From 2016 to October 2018, we successfully revitalized the company, expanding its fleet from 49 to 250 trucks. Established in 2012, Max Trans Logistics operates as a third-party logistics provider (3PL), addressing all customer needs. By leveraging the capabilities of Max Trans, we offer comprehensive services ranging from warehousing to complete transportation management.

Max Trans Logistics was formed in 2012 as a 3PL that handles all of our customers needs with the assistance of Max Trans to be a true full service provider from warehousing to full transportation management. 

Max Trans currently has professional drivers operating 250 trucks that are hauling products such as aluminum, corrugated box, cotton, tires, transformers, truck axels, office furniture, and many other general commodity types. We circulate approximately 600 trailers.
